Joseph Arrieta, O.D.

I was born and raised in Florida. I received my undergraduate degree from Valdosta State College and my Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. After graduation, I proudly served in the U.S. Army in Oklahoma. While at Ft. Sill, I served as chief of the basic training in-processing optometry clinic. The time spent at Ft. Sill allowed me to practice full-scope optometry and hone my clinical skills.

I have been residing and practicing full-time in Boerne since 1999. My wife, Dr. Huong-Trinh Nguyen, and I have a wonderful daughter, Elisia. I am an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne. I enjoy watching movies and reading, hanging out with my family, and participating in various charity projects with the local Knights of Columbus council.

I am licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, which allows me to treat and manage eye diseases, including eye infections, remove ocular foreign bodies, diagnose glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive eye diseases, and co-managing laser vision correction procedures. I look forward to getting to know you and providing you with the best eye care possible.
